The subconscious mind remembers behaviors that we have used to protect ourselves and repeats them until we tell it not to. The problem is, we’ve consciously forgotten why we needed these behaviors, or that we ever did without them.
During transformational therapy, regression is used to go back to initial sensitizing events (ISE). ISE events are experiences which have caused or led to certain emotional traumas that are causing problems or negative behaviors for an individual, such as: phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, Anorexia, nail biting, self esteem issues, etc. By allowing the subconscious mind to surface, as many ISE’s as the subconscious is willing to recognize can then be re-framed, allowing positive change to occur.
